The Art Of Referencing
An editorial shooting for Inês Bordonhos
What describes a painting as a whole? This was a question Inês asked herself while creating this collection. The way we perceive paintings is a very individual experience. However, the stories they are about have been analyzed countless times. In the work of Inês Bordonhos, she wanted to learn more about the content that inspires her as a textile designer. To do this, She combined her interests and decided to create three outfits, each derived from a painting. These are classics from the Renaissance and Baroque periods, which fascinated her with their complex structure. The focus is on the textile translation of these paintings.
